 Characteristics :

GEL-E7018 is a heavy coated hydrogen controlled iron powder type electrode giving an extremely smooth arc, medium penetration and least spatter. Easy to operate in all positions. The weld metal is extremely ductile and crack resistant. Specially recommended for heavy joints under restraint and subject to dynamic loading. Deposition efficiency 115% approx. The welds are of radiographic quality.

  Application :

Blast furnace, steel work, atomic reactor shell and pipe work,
heavy welded fabrications as replacement for castings, bridges, penstocks, pressure vessels, root runs in heavy and re-stained joints, etc.
